ANGELS

From the margins of my school notebooks to ceramic surfaces, the female figure appears not as mere decoration but as a timeless subject of contemplation. Drawing on Mucha’s ethereal women and the winged beings of miniature painting, these works explore how beauty, spiritual iconography, and tradition converge on ceramic forms.
The female figure — long central to my artistic practice — here takes on a celestial form. Inspired by Alphonse Mucha’s flowing-haired women and the ethereal angels of miniature painting, these works unite the elegance of Art Nouveau with the spiritual resonance of Ottoman tradition.
On ceramic surfaces, winged women emerge as both guardians and muses, embodying beauty, strength, and transcendence. Their elongated forms, cascading hair, and delicate wings open a dialogue between past and present — between the ornamental lyricism of the miniature and the sensual curves of fin-de-siècle aesthetics. Each piece becomes a site where ornament meets body, where divine presence merges with earthly beauty, and where the timeless fascination with the feminine spirit finds new expression in ceramic form.
