IZNIK REIMAGINED
Iznik’s enchantment became my lens to explore patterns, forms, and colors — exploring a dialogue between periods, weaving Seljuk motifs, kaftan patterns, and elements from other historical eras with my own original designs. Every piece aims to create a space where history meets modernity, resulting in a fresh, personal visual language.

Iznik (Nicaea) pottery is listed among the most precious items in the world’s most prestigious museums. My journey with Iznik tiles began with a deep study of the originals, etuding these historic pieces to understand their aesthetic theories — the rhythm and balance hidden in every line and curve. The traces of this enchantment became more than mere inspiration — they became a lens through which I explore pattern, form, and color. I often create a dialogue between periods, integrating Seljuk motifs, kaftan patterns, or elements from other eras, and inventing entirely new graphic patterns of my own. By layering these influences, I aim to create pieces that are not mere reproductions but reinterpretations — where traditional patterns are transformed into contemporary forms. Each piece becomes a space where history meets modernity, a fusion that respects the past while offering a fresh and personal visual language.
