LETTERS

Exploring the beauty of calligraphic forms, I draw upon the rich tradition of Islamic calligraphic art — "hat" — a central visual practice in Islamic culture that gained particular significance in religious contexts, where the depiction of sacred figures was often avoided. I am captivated by the formal elegance, rhythm, and balance of these scripts. In my work, I combine "hat" with motifs from different eras or with compositions I have created, forming pieces in which each letter — beside its literal meaning — embodies a sculptural and visual harmony that speaks by itself.
